Leveraging the available space and the advantages of renewable energy resources in the town of Arandis, we have made substantial progress towards establishing an integrated, multi-industry facility that aligns with the nation’s growth trajectory and the associated industries, all while upholding environmental considerations.

Project Location

Zero Carbon has successfully acquired 525 hectares of land within the newly expanded Arandis Townlands, bringing with it unparalleled potential for solar power generation on a global scale. The dearth of infrastructure in similar areas is mitigated by the presence of rail and road networks bordering the southern edge of our property, in addition to power infrastructure along the eastern boundary. These infrastructure advantages create a multitude of opportunities during the project’s developmental phases, allowing us to capitalize on various industries and income streams that are intricately connected to the allocated land.

This strategic location not only enables us to access markets but also to foster the growth of communities that thrive in the vicinity. It is important to emphasize that this initiative is quintessentially Namibian, showcasing the capacity and competence of local knowledge and firms to undertake infrastructure projects with long-term sustainable growth at the forefront of their objectives.

Decongest Port Operations

The primary goal of this project is to alleviate the mounting pressure and congestion experienced in current port operations by diverting a portion of the operations to the designated back-of-port facility.

Through the utilization of integrated road and rail infrastructure, this facility will streamline the transportation process, reducing transit times and optimizing logistical operations.

The facility will generate solar power, positioning itself as a carbon-neutral intermodal hub, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to a cleaner environment.

A decongested and efficient port operation system will stimulate economic growth by enhancing the flow of goods, attracting investment, and creating job opportunities.
